In reply to your letter No.540 of the 9th instant, I am directed by the Major General Commanding to acquaint you for the information of the Administrator that he considers it very necessary to maintain the Military Reserve at Stanley, and that it would be inexpedient that any portion of it should be taken over by the Colonial Secretary's Department.
